JDRF One Walk has a new look this year but the message is still the same…

Turn Type One into Type NONE!

Over the past 30 years the JDRF One Walk has been held inside the Mall of America in Cold, Snowy, February. Last year it migrated outside to walk around the Mall of America in Cold, Rainy, April. This year the walk will be held outside at TCO Stadium in (hopefully) Warm, Sunny, May.

This is the 9th Walk Team Sugar Shay will be participating in but in a slightly different format for us too. Team Sugar Shay will be Virtual Walkers this year.

Shay is getting older (12yrs old in July) and her involvement in Athletics is becoming more intense. Right now she is playing Volleyball, Softball AND Hockey and it just so happens she has a Softball Tournament the day of the walk.

Shay absolutely LOVES playing Team sports so when we asked her what she would like to do she told us, “My Apple Valley Fusion Softball Team is counting on me to be there for them and I don’t want to let them down so I need to go to my tournament…BUT I don’t want to let Team Sugar Shay down either.”

So this year, even though we won’t be at TCO Stadium on Walk Day with all the other Teams, doesn’t mean we have to forfeit.

This year, the best way we can be there for Team Sugar Shay is by DONATING!
Team Sugar Shay can still raise money to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

Each and every one of you is part of this Team and we need you to show up and bring your “A” game.
